Seller terms & conditions

  1. Eligibility. Sellers must be a registered business or an individual author or institute with the legal right to sell the material. Pirated, photocopied or copyright-infringing material is not allowed and leads to immediate removal.
  2. Approval. Listing is subject to Competer's approval. Approval, commission rate and payout cycle are confirmed in writing (the approval letter) before any listing goes live.
  3. Listings. Sellers add and maintain their products, prices, stock and images in the seller panel and are responsible for their accuracy. Competer may edit titles and descriptions for clarity and search, and may remove listings that breach these terms.
  4. Warehouse and packing. Sellers keep stock in their own warehouse, pack orders securely within 24 hours of the pickup request, and hand them to the courier arranged by Competer.
  5. Shipping and returns. Competer arranges forward shipping and return pickups. Returned items are delivered back to the seller's warehouse; the seller inspects and restocks them. Damage caused by inadequate packing is the seller's responsibility.
  6. Buyer service. Competer handles buyer communication, refunds and replacements under the Competer refund policy. Sellers must respond to Competer's queries on an order within 1 working day.
  7. Payments. Competer collects payment from buyers, deducts the agreed commission and shipping charges where stated in the approval letter, and pays out to the seller's bank account on the agreed cycle after the buyer return window closes.
  8. Taxes and invoices. Sellers are responsible for their own GST and tax compliance and must provide tax details requested by Competer. Invoices to buyers are issued as agreed in the approval letter.
  9. Performance. Repeated late packing, stock-outs after an order, high return rates or buyer complaints may lead to listings being paused or the account being closed.
  10. Data and brand. Buyer details shared for order handling may be used only to fulfil that order. Sellers may say that their material is available on Competer; they may not use the Competer name or logo otherwise without written permission.
  11. Term and termination. Either side may end the arrangement with 30 days' notice. Open orders are completed and pending payouts are settled as per the agreed cycle.
  12. Changes. Competer may update these terms; sellers are notified by email, and continued selling after the notice period means acceptance.

Questions sellers ask

Who can sell on Competer?

Coaching institutes, publishers, authors and distributors of exam study material for UPSC, State PCS, JEE, NEET, SSC, Banking, Railway, CA, CFA and school. You need a warehouse or stock room from which pickups and returns can be handled.

Do I ship the orders myself?

No. Our courier partners pick up from your warehouse and deliver to the buyer. You pack the order and keep it ready; we handle the rest, including return pickups.

How do I add products?

After approval you get a seller panel. You add products, prices, stock and photos there, and you see every order placed for your products.

What does it cost?

There is no listing fee. A commission is deducted per order; the rate is shared in your approval letter, along with the payout cycle.

How do I get paid?

Payouts are made to your bank account on the cycle stated in the approval letter, after the buyer return window closes.
